Making a Difference One Hour at a Time
In today's fast-paced life style it seems that we are continuously rushing through our days without taking time for ourselves - let alone others. But throughout the bustle of our busy city there is still a glimpse of humanity. This humanity lives and breathes through the generosity of volunteers. Despite their busy schedules, there are individuals in Calgary who are taking the time out of their hectic days to give back to the community and make a difference in the lives of others.
The Alzheimer Society of Calgary is fortunate enough to have over 250 of these wonderful volunteers who assist with fundraising initiatives, special events, public education, administration and Club 36 support.
Combined they put in over 2500 hours in 2010! Without the dedication of these volunteers we couldn't continue to reach out into the community providing families and those living with or affected by Alzheimer's disease with programs and services. Thank you to all of our volunteers who continue to make a difference in our community.
Join our team! Your gift of time will make a difference in the lives of individuals and families who are living with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia.
