Staff Training

At the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, we believe dementia is as individual as each person that experiences it, and that care should be provided accordingly. To that end, we have developed programs that teach others how person-centred care can be offered in a way that everyone benefits.

Our education and training programs are intended for professionals working in home and community based settings, as well as residential care facilities such as long-term care centres and assisted living facilities. There are programs available for all skill sets and levels of expertise.

We help professionals expand their dementia care knowledge and help them shape care strategies based on the most up-to-date knowledge, strategies and best practices. Nearly 2,000 professionals have participated in our education programs since 2003.

Pre-registration is required for all training programs. Group size may be limited.
