Staff Accreditation
- In addition to the diverse skill set of our staff, many staff members have completed dementia care awareness and skill-building programs and several are further qualified as Best Friends™ Associate Trainers
- All staff must read and sign a Confidentiality Agreement
- All staff require a Police Security Clearance
Club 36 Staff have these additional accreditations:
- Certified Personal Care Attendants, Licensed Practical Nurses or Recreation Therapists
- 100% First Aid Certification
- Qualified instructors of older adult fitness classes
Club 36 follows the standards and guidelines developed for Day Programs by Alberta Health Servies, Calgary Zone. The Director of Dementia Care Programs is a member of the Adult Day Program Managers Association of Alberta.

Members of our staff are often members of other professional organizations with additional ethical and accountability standards including:

- Alberta College of Social Workers

Volunteer Acceptance
- All prospective volunteers are interviewed by the Alzheimer Society of Calgary Community Relations Coordinator
- Some positions require a Police Security Clearance
- Volunteers must read and sign a Confidentiality Agreement
- Some positions require reference checks
- To ensure volunteers have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their role(s) effectively the Alzheimer Society of Calgary provides training for most volunteer positions.
