The Alzheimer Society was incorporated in 1981 as the regional arm of a provincial and national non-profit organization dedicated to the improved well-being of people living with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.
While it is not possible to restore brain function to brain cells damaged by Alzheimer's disease, there are treatments and strategies that can help both the person with the disease as well as their caregiver. The Alzheimer Society of Calgary offers education and support to families and professionals within the Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone.
