The Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary and its Board of Directors are pleased to welcome Barb Ferguson back to the role of Executive Director. Barb provided exceptional leadership and direction during her previous term as Executive Director from 2001-2009 and is thrilled to return after a brief time away. She will spearhead several key new initiatives as the Society embraces both a new direction and vision that will help the organization meet increasing demands from the local community. Please join us in welcoming Barb Ferguson back to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary.

Empowered Care: Learning Through Information, Stories and Strategies

    

We sincerely thank Encana, RBC Foundation and Devon Canada for their support in the development of Empowered Care Online.  This is the Alzheimer Society of Calgary's second e-Learning module.  This nine hour course will assist care partners in providing excellent care for the person with dementia as well as themselves.

With increasing demand for up-to-date knowledge on dementia, the Alzheimer Society of Calgary has developed an exciting on-line educational resource called Dementia Basics. As a first step to understanding dementia and the disease process, this resource will benefit families living with dementia, community members and health professionals.
